Today, in 2009, we held parts 2 and 3 of the Muslim Voices: Arts & Ideas Festival.

Part 2 was titled: MIGRATION POLICY, RESPONSE AND REACTION: THE STATUS QUO

This session explored whether assimilation or integration are the only options for Muslim immigrants and their children. How have rising tensions at the global level impacted polarization of Muslims within European societies?

Part 3 was titled: YOUTH: THE FUTURE

This debate investigated how young people, as Western citizens who are fully confident in their Muslim identities, tackle thorny societal issues and challenge old paradigms. They also discussed how young people can play an integral role in creating a better, socially coherent future.
